Router over Secure School Network

I'm in a bit of a bind. I recently bought a Linksys WRT54G router and am attempting to run it in my dorm room so as to have wireless in the area. However, I can't get it to play nice with the school network. The entire network hands out IP addresses and every other piece of info, so all I want the router to do is to broadcast the signal, not hand out or do much else. Anyone have ideas on how to configure it?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'll work on that, although I doubt that is all that I would need. Shouldn't the computer's MAC address be enough though; what does cloning it do basically since the computer is still the same one?

There's nowhere I can't reach.
