Wow, I didn't know the first game was all that rare, its a shame I didn't take better care of my original packaging. That said, I really enjoyed both Golden Sun and its sequel (which could really just be considered a continuation of the first.) It had great graphics, a really cool (and most importantly) original battle system, as well as some really challenging side quests and bosses (in the second game at least.) I honestly think that game would have been better received if both parts were released as one, as they both only really work when played in sequence. Overall, this is a classic, (but modern RPG) that plays like something from the SNES era. I really wish more games were developed using this approach.
