I've braces at the moment for the second time in my life (damn incompetant othadontist) and there are practically NO pros apart from the end result. The cons are having 10 injections in the gums so they can take some of my teeth out, constant pain, missing an important event each and every time I have an appointment, the hassle of kissing, hearing the jokes until they drive you mad and cutting your lips and gums on the things all the time.

Oh, and I was trying to give up smoking just before I got them and was on the gum since everything else annoyed me; needless to say I'm back on the cigs.
