I have to agree there. This generation hasn't really produced many classics, but Resident Evil 4 is undoubtably not only one of the few but the defining game of the era. It's fun, nice and long but within reason, and the atmosphere and overall mood of the game are very strong.
Another awesome game is, as mentioned before, is Dragon Quest 8
Jam it back in, in the dark.
