I FINALLY was able to purchase this game. $45 used, but it was totally worth it.

Haven't had time to play this game that often, but I already beat normal mode and I'm halfway done with Masters (damn you Sanbone Trio!! T3T)

Great game. Everyone should definetly play it *heart*

Jam it back in, in the dark.

X0 Don't give up! You'll be able to beat it one day! (A few weeks ago, I got maybe 2 attack/defend phrases until the Final...)

Ressurection is beautiful on the OST, but I agree, it's not that good on normal mode. And in Vs. play, there are times when the background doesn't play at all! (It only happened to a few copies, so maybe it was just their DVDs)

I also don't like the fact that you can't play Versus Masters play. Just imagining rocking out to Flyin' to Your Heart or Tainted Lovers (I saw it on my friend's file, and it's CRAZY) against someone with equal talents as you...

From my experience, there's about 2-3 paths you can take on a song, depending on well you do, and the difficulty level (don't quote me on the latter, since I'm not sure if normal and hard mode differ)

Anyways, I'd follow Elixir's advice; listen to that song nonstop, and try playing it on normal mode to feel the "pattern", y'know?

Good luck with that one; I was playing Gitaroo Man today, and that song is so difficult, especially with the guarding stages.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've listened to my favourite songs on the OST so many times (Born To Be Bone, Tainted Lovers, and Flyin' To Your Heart), but my left thumb always seems to think it's right on target when it's far from it.
That's....so sad.

Oh well. Now that's there's a re-print, it's a bit more easier and cheaper to get, I suppose.

I actually put the controller on the ground/my lap, and use my thumb and index finger for the analog stick, and put three fingers (my index, middle, and ring) on the square, triangle, and circle buttons. It works pretty well, and, in the guard stage, I can just play trills (thank goodness for playing piano ;^; )

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Godamnit, now I have to buy an expensive PSP ;____;

But thanks for the box art! It's so beautiful and Gitarooy!! (Oh, and can you play Japanese PSP games on American PSPs?)

I don't know how it can be translated effectively without an analog stick. I liked how it was only part button-mash. But if it still retains the gameplay of the original, I may consider a PSP purchase eventually.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the PSP have the "little" analog stick below the directional pad? Otherwise, I'm not sure how they'll translate the gameplay over =/

EDIT: Oh! I have another question for those who play versus mode: Is it possible for both sides to get to the "Final" part? In my understanding, whoever has the most health gets into the Final, but wat if both sides have equal health? >_<;; Uunfortuntely, I don't have a lot of friends who are good at Gitaroo Man yet, so I haven't been able to test it (and when I play versus mode against the computer, I usually lose TT^TT;; )

I was speaking idiomatically.

That's kinda what I'm feeling right now too. (PSPs are expensive, after all!)

But I'm hanging onto the glimmer of hope that "Gitaroo Man Live" will really mean "Gitaroo Man Live."

I mean, can you fuckin' imagine it? Playing with people all over the world? Or even creating your own songs and "challenging" people (O GOD)????

>_< It's probably not going to happen, but I can hope, damnit! If it does happen though, I'm going to definetly buy the PSP.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
