Follin'in' it up!
I was totally gung-ho when Chz came to me about a themed SotW. It took me all of five seconds to decide which song I wanted to nominate, as I've enjoyed Follin's work for a long time. I'm not at home right now, so time is limited. I'll just administer points. 3 Points: Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos (Game Rip) - Title 2 Points: Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future (Game Rip) - Aquamarine Bay 1 Point: Future Tactics: The Uprising (Game Rip) - Enemy Attack II It's hard to give out points in a week like this, really. I voted for my own nomination and the two that were the biggest surprises for me. But they're truly ALL awesome. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
Gonna throw in my next nomination while I've got the free time here.
Title: Machine Gun (Gran Turismo 4 Pop Rox Remix) Artist: The Commodores Album: The Music from and Inspired by Gran Turismo 4 Track Number: 2(?) This is the nomination that I rescinded before I was approached with the Follin Week idea. 'Machine Gun' is actually a song from the 70s, but this remix was created specifically for this special GT4 album and exists nowhere else, qualifying it for SotW. The mix takes a very radical departure from the original song, so I feel it can be evaluated solely upon its own merits instead of as the arrangement some might initially think it to be. I've looked about but I can't find any remix credits anywhere. The album was originally obtained from #gamemp3s, so I trust its validity. I'm currently finishing up a hospital stay, so I don't know the track number 100%. I'm going by memory and the info stored in my iPod. I'll upload the track to Kaleb's folder upon my return home. How ya doing, buddy? ![]()

I was hoping for a nice Bronze medal on that nomination. But this does mean that I can use it for upcoming purposes and not feel poorly about it.Similarly, I'm surprised Aquamarine Bay only took 3rd. It's long but it remains a delight throughout. I wonder if some didn't turn it off halfway, thinking that they got the gist of it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
