The List

This is based off an old Irc game I played during the nineties. It's for six players, with two teams of three.

I will offer a category. Then, in secret, I will select ten answers (in no specific order) that fit into the chosen category. Each player will then give up to ten answers in an attempt to match the answers I've chosen. Whoever gives one of the chosen answers first scores a point for his/her team. We play up to thirty points.

For example, let us say that the category is The United States of America. Each player would list ten states and hope they picked the same ones I did. If you said Iowa, and it was on my list, you'd score a point. Often, the category will have more answers than there is room for in my picks. It's half knowledge, half luck.

There are also special rounds, during which I'll explain the particular rules.

There is no special order in which players need to answer. Just know that it's beneficial to answer sooner instead of having to dig for answers, so paying attention is probably important.

So if I can get six people to sign up, we can try this thing out.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Okay, there are enough players. I can permit four players on each team, so I'll do that. The teams are as follows:

Team One: Rockgamer, Furret (Freelance Wolf), wvlfpvp, and knkwzrd
Team Two: Luxray (Chaotic), Sousuke, Capo, and Garr

Dullenplain and others past him can serve as alternates in case someone goes MIA. Else he (they) can wait for the next game.

Now begins the first category. I've chosen ten answers. You each have ten guesses. Try to match me.

Whoa, wait a minute. Need some clarification first.

Should teams guess things that the other team has already guessed? Will we both get the point if it's on your list, or is it a first come first serve thing?
The first person to get the correct answer gets a point for it. Anyone who subsequently gives the same answer receives nothing, as the point has already been earned. Thus, it behooves you to avoid duplicating answers and it's also better to respond quickly, as that many more options are still available.

People who gave duplicate answers may alter them.

And for the record, it's both sit-down and fast food restaurants. As long as it's a chain, it qualifies.

Guess what? I live right by the US/Canada border, so I'm familiar with restaurants on both sides. This is why the category is "North America" and not "The United States." There happens to be three Tim Horton's in my town alone, and a Fuddruckers twenty minutes away. I've eaten at a Harvey's and worked for a Perkins. Plus, I've travelled across America; I've seen about 90% of them, and heard of the rest.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This round didn't go so well. I saw some quality guesswork but I think we were traveling on different frequencies.

1: Impetigo - Found by nobody
2: Vertigo - Found by nobody
3: Curio - Found by nobody
4: Patio - Found by nobody
5: Scenario - Found by nobody
6: Churro - Found by nobody
7: Rodeo - Found by nobody
8: Falsetto - Found by nobody
9: Piccolo - Found by nobody
10: Poncho - Found by nobody

Harsh round.

Team 1: Rockgamer, Freelance Wolf, wvlfpvp, knkwzrd - 6 Points
Team 2: Chaotic, Sousuke, Capo, Garr - 2 Points

So let's try something else:
