No, I didn't. I obtained my set shortly thereafter. I'm still not very good at inserting them (I'm always afraid they'll retreat between my eyeball and socket, never to be retrieved again) so I reserve them for more special occasions.

As for the Meet, I'd love to go and I'll be available, but the money is the big thing. I just had a very expensive operation and am on mandatory disability for a good while. I'm not raking in the dough at the moment. All my current medications cost me over $120 per month, and though this number will go down eventually, it's a chunk out of the budget for now. There's also my concerns over people who may be carrying sickness. I'm prone right now, until my immune system builds itself up again. Last year, Hyde had mono and didn't even know it until after the meet. I have to be very wary of these things.

Plus, I'm planning to go away to college next fall and really need to make sure I've got the necessary living supplies for that. I'm not saying I won't be at the meet, I'm just saying it's not gonna be the simplest thing for me to accomplish this year.
