I've already experienced what I long considered to be my definition of heaven. I visited Hawaii for two weeks and it was everything I'd imagined.
Maybe it sounds rather cliche - especially to the locals - but the scenic vantage points were spectacular. I have truly never seen such vivid land and oceanscapes. I had the opportunity to sail about Waikiki Bay just as a thunderstorm had ended; over the city of Honolulu was an enormous rainbow. Though maudlin in sentiment, it was still a spectacular sight.
The climate was perfect for my tastes. The food was rich and geared toward my natural preferences: seafood and sweets. The culture was interesting and the nightlife seemed abundant.
And to me, that's what Heaven should be, a place where it doesn't matter if you're alone or surrounded by thousands of people. You can be comfortable, satisfied and appreciative of everything your surroundings offer. Heaven isn't really a place per se, it's a state of mind, but it doesn't hurt to be in a conducive location.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
