Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
2-2-2 (This group stood out but none were more special than the other.) 3-1-1-1 (I'm helping out my own nomination and spreading the rest of the love so I don't look greedy.) 2-2-1-1 (There were a lot of good tracks, making this week hard to decide.) 2-1-1-1-1 (A mixed bag; most were okay but not great.) 1-1-1-1-1-1 (Worst week ever. I really don't care what wins as long as it's not the two tracks I snubbed.) Feel free to reallocate the points as you like if you really think another track deserves some love too. There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
This week was slightly above average. Most tracks were either good or just ordinary.
3 Points: Wild Arms the Vth Vanguard Original Score Vol. 1 - Seeking the Blue Sky 2 Points: Technosoft GAME MUSIC COLLECTION VOL.15 ~ BEST OF THUNDER FORCE - Fighting Back (ST1) 1 Point: The Sword of Xuan Yuan 4 - The Black Dragon Dances and the Cloud Flows (PC Game Rip) - Four24 No thanks: Freespace 2 (Game Rip) - Ending Score This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
Well, two out of three isn't bad.
I really didn't care for the Hacker Elite track. I felt it meandered far too long and never delivered anything even close to a suitable payoff for the time invested. Every time I felt as though it was moving toward an escalation in the melody and pacing, it merely switched up the ambient sound effects. I'm not one to hate on ambience; most times, I'll throw it a point if it's decent. But eleven minutes is much too long. "Uplink" was, to me, VGM's version of a used car salesman, feeding me just enough to keep me interested, yet never delivering on any of the promise of excitement. In the end, I felt like I'd been bamboozled. I would've liked to see Four24 or Let's Go! Necromancer take that space instead. But what can you do? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
