I just asked my girlfriend. She works for the United States Customs and Immigration Dept.
She says yes, this is a legitimate program and that the website is legal. 50,000 Green Cards are given away each year as an incentive to diversify America. This program began during the Clinton Administration, so it's fairly new. This might explain why you hadn't heard of it. She also says we should be allowed to see some of the losers this program winds up escorting into America. It's not worth the taxpayer dollars it takes to operate, according to her. She's probably right. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
