I've never worn a hairstyle that went below the ears.
I've never waded or jumped into water deeper than five feet. I've never been arrested or in trouble with the law. I've never smoked a cigarette. I've never donated blood. I've never watched "Titanic" or "Pulp Fiction". I've never cheated on a test at school. I've never broken any of my bones. I've never been drunken from alcohol. I've never played the original Super Mario Bros. all the way to completion. I've never learned to drive a Standard transmission. I've never weighed more than 130 pounds. You know, it's difficult to think of things that I haven't done, stuff that would be considered fairly normal to have never experienced, such as getting a tattoo or flying on an airplane. It's not something that normally comes up, but when I have to dedicate thought to the subject, I've done an awful lot of things in my life. I'm sure an endless list of things exist, like never having attended a major league baseball game, but these things are quite narrow. I could say I've never ridden a unicycle with a man named Horace upon my shoulders and it would be true, but it would also be fairly meaningless because I don't know anyone who has. So there's only so far one can go with these general areas of note. It's interesting that this thread has caused me to consider all the interesting things I have done, stuff that would interest a lot of people but has been lost to the back of my memory due to familiarity. When I consider all the stuff I'd still like to do, it becomes too easy to forget what I've already accomplished. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
