Will there be an encore of the Pilot episode? I CAN'T believe I missed this one! This is definitely the only brand-new show I was really looking forward to this season. (I'll pretend I wasn't waiting for Jericho. )

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Ah! Thanks a ton - I just got cable last weekend actually, so I can indeed catch this show. I can't see anything but snow in the winter with my rabbit ears and there's just too many good shows on now for me to miss them...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yes, at the end of the 3 episodes they basically spent about 30-45 seconds laying out some hints at the plot for the next 6 or so episodes. Very interesting, they are trying to keep the viewers hooked by revealing a lot of secrets. I wonder about the ratings for this show. It's going up against 2.5 Men and I'm not sure what else. In my mind it's the best new show this season, so I hope it succeeds.

Also, do you think it's interesting that in a show about superheroes, there is basically very, very little special effects? (At least so far.) I mean, to stop time all you do is have all the actors stand still which is a cheap effect. Reading minds is a cheap effect. Having a split personality is a cheap effect. Painting the future is a cheap effect. Regeneration is a bit more costly, but it's mainly just some time in make-up. I guess if someone flies that would be the most costly thing to do perhaps? I'm not saying the show has low production values - I really like the look and feel of it. However, I think it's interesting that you can do things in a smart way like that to keep production costs down...

Anyways, at the end of the latest episode:

Spoiler:
How kick-ass was Hiro? He was like some sort of time-ninja with a ninja sword strapped to his back. Just awesome. This is what makes me look forward to future episodes the most; hopefully, everyone else becomes that kick-ass too.

How ya doing, buddy?

All I can say is HELLS YEAH! I'm actually liking this show a lot more than LOST this season, since things actually happen each episode unlike LOST which seems set to move at a snail's pace just so they can drag it out...

You know, they keep talking about what a "hero" is. Especially with Hiro, but last time with Micah talking to his dad as well.

I think they are too involved in developing the story, and there are too many things going on right now, for them to actually develop this into a true "theme" however, and that's too bad. The show is great and I really enjoy it, but one of the things that made Spider-man so great was the conflict in the character between wanting to be a hero and wanting to be a normal person.

I'm not saying they're not touching on this, but they're only skimming the surface. I would like to see this theme development in-depth...

I was speaking idiomatically.

Stan Lee cameo FTW!!

Also, tonight's episode was awesome. Things actually moved forward quite a bit in certain areas.

The ending = crazy! Next episode = 20 questions, yay!

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

That's true. I never thought of that. She was there at the time Peter blows up. Unless Simone is not dead. She could have a power? All the tag line said was "someone dies", that could mean the super-hearing lady not Simone.
Yes, that could be true. For some reason I just get a "feeling" that Peter is really not meant to blow up the city. I do not have any empirical evidence, but this feeling comes from the writing as much as anything. Shouldn't Hiro be in more of a hurry to get the sword so he can stop Peter? Shouldn't Peter's brother be doing more to stop him? Actually Isaac trying to kill Peter is about the one & only sign I get that they're really serious about it, and that was just an excuse to:

Spoiler:

have Isaac accidentally kill Simone.

How many episodes has Hiro spent looking for that damn sword by now, 5? That was getting truly ridiculous. All the other plot arcs are still humming right along. Five weeks is too long to wait. Heck, that's so long that Lost might actually find a plot by the time the next Heroes episode airs.

As in every single episode, major bombs were drop in this one. And new questions arose...

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

What about Mohinder ala Obi-wan Kenobi?

"If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine?"

He is the original thread that ties all the heroes together anyways; it makes sense that he should be the "ringleader" of sorts...

Almost all hour long TV shows are around 30% commercials. This is hardly unique to heroes. Unless you're watching HBO, it's very unusual to have a show more than 42 minutes long for an hour timeslot.
Yeah, I thought we were actually down to 35 minutes or less at this point. Sometimes it seems like they have 3 minutes of commercials, then 2 minutes of show, then more commercials. I'm not sure when this happens but it seems like about 3/4 of the way through the show they hit you with extra commercials just before the episode finale...

I'm looking forward to having Heroes back, but how many episodes are left? I would rather have had the show done by now rather than stretch into the summer months...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I was about to say that it was too lacking in Hiro action, but I'm sure we'll get plenty of that next week in THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!
Spoiler:
With not one but TWO Hiros in the episode, this should be guaranteed.

I enjoyed the episode, but there was too much "posturing" for me. At least we know a few things we didn't before, but I hope the next episode has more things happening. Not necessarily "action" per se, but at least things happening...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

But anyways, what I dont get is the whole Sylar and Isaac thing. Okay, sure Isaac said he showed how to stop Sylar but if Sylar can now see the future doesn't that make it a bit pointless? Everytime someone tries to kill him he'll most likely see it coming and will stop it accordingly.
I thought that at first, but basically Isaac said that you cannot fight the future, so we know for sure that Sylar "dies." (At least, he dies as Isaac painted him dying - whether or not he regenerates after dying is another story.) But think of this: if you saw a vision of the future where you were getting killed by a bullet, and from that point on managed to dodge all bullets, you could still get killed by something else. Isaac can't "see" the future, he can only paint it, which is a slower process.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

This is the only show this season where I can honestly say that each episode gets better & better. Tonight's episode contained many important events & revelations. They didn't just jerk us around (like Lost): things happened:

Spoiler:

Like: evil Bennett groupie killed, nuclear man killed, Linderman killed... That's three major characters killed just in one night.

Best show in 2007, it better win some goddamn awards or else the industry is even more pretentious/moronic than what people said it was.
Although I love this show and it does everything write, this year Battlestar Galactica reached higher than what Heroes aimed at and achieved it. However, unlike Lost they managed to keep this show on an even keel story-wise and quality-wise. They definitely should win some awards.

Someone in production for Heroes [I'm not sure if it was the director, producer, or whoever, but still] has said that they've grown to like Sylar so much that he's likely going to be a regular in season 2. Would be cool, but I'm not sure how they'll pull it off. Will Sylar become a 'good guy'?
There seems to be more heroes than villains, so Sylar might come back but maybe not as the "main" villain this time. The Linderman died, so his network may be out of the picture, or perhaps Claire's grandmother will take over. What I would like to see are a few "superbattles" next season - we had extremely few this season. To do that, they need more villains. I could see why they would keep Sylar around.
