If that is acurate I'll be first in line to buy the new Sonic game. Sounds awesome, I agree: a mix of 3d graphics/2d gameplay could be just what the series needs. (It still feels weird to be playing Sonic games on a console other than Sega.

 Actually, if I simply ignore the numerical score that IGN gives the game, the review is fairly positive. I would have expected it to get an overall score of somewhere in the 7.5 range after reading the review, instead of the 6.9 it did receive. In the review they say they think it's the best 3d Sonic game to date. If that's true, I will enjoy it. I really enjoyed SA1 and am playing through Heroes even though I'm not "feelin'" it like I did SA1.This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
