DKC 1 and 2 are classics. I own 2, but not 1. I've thought about picking it up several times. 2 is just such a larger game, with more variety, more secrets, etc. However, 1 just has a certain "feel" to it that appeals to me.
Taking turns playing through the levels in college was some of the most fun we had with games. People would spazz out when I would run through a level non-stop instead of being careful - it's just how I play. ![]() I think the original DCK is an important game in the SNES library because it really heralded a completely new level of graphics. I wonder what a fully polygonal/shaded/etc. side-scrolling DKC would look like? Jam it back in, in the dark.
