From the article:

Quote:
Quitting an MMO does not mean you’re quitting gaming. You can replace an MMO with more efficient games. Take a game like Shadow the Colossus. This beautifully designed game took no longer than 10 hours of my time, but remains in my mind as one of the most memorable and exciting games I have played. And I still play multiplayer console games with friends, since they act as great socializing tools. Your gaming hobby can take significantly less time out of your life, but return more satisfaction.
So true. Quitting WoW gave me a chance to play Beyond Good & Evil, Shadow Hearts, Paper Mario: TTYD, DQVIII, F.E.A.R., and the list goes on.

MMORPG's take too much time, a fact which I think is proven true by the subscription fees. If everyone only played a couple hours a week, would they need to charge anyone for "bandwidth?"

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I agree. Plus, I play games as a diversion, so I don't want to run into the same kind of a-holes in a "virtual world" that I'm trying to take a vacation from in the "real world" and end up paying $ for it monthly ta boot! Ridiculous...

There's nowhere I can't reach.
