Not to sound like a negative nancy or anything but this thing would never work. Think about it, where are most of the world's conflicts now? Almost always places that are really really hot. Try wearing that thing here in Arizona and you'll pass out from heat stroke in an instant. The suit alone weighs forty pounds, and add another 10 pounds for a rifle, and ammo and you're looking at carrying 50 pounds of weight around just because you have to. But i guess other people already figured this out, since he's out of business apparantly.
Try running around in "Arizona" in full MOPPs gear... It is doable, our soldiers are trained to operate in some rather extreme conditions. My guess is that Armor probably breaths better than the carbon stuffed suits they use for MOPP (level 4).

What is more important is the ballistic characteristics of the armor. If that armor could actually protect your entire body from rifle calibur ammunition I'm sure he would have gotten contracts BUT my guess is that it doesn't work as well as he has claimed. Besides saying it survived being shot with an "Elephant Gun" doesn't mean anything. Shoot it with .50BMG ammunition, if it survives then you have something to sell to the military.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

You're right it is doable, but they aren't in level 4 MOPP gear all the time. This guy basically wants troops to be in that bear suit lite all the time. And if it "breaths" better, doesn't that take the whole point of a MOPP suit out?
This stuff was supposed to be designed as body armor, not a full environmental suit. I do see your point but if it really did perform as well as he said I am sure they could design a MOPP system that would be compatible with this armor, however I doubt it the wearer would survive a bullet impact from an "Elephant Gun". We have body armor now that MIGHT allow you to survive after being hit with large caliber ammunition and the stuff this guys armor is sporting doesn't look like it even comes close to that level of protection.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Our enemy will strap a bomb to their chest and run at us, scare tactics aren't going to be terribly effective unless you have actions to back them up.

War is about functionality not retarded scare tactics.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Um... maybe you're forgetting but there really isn't very much you can do to scare these guys. I mean little kids are ready to take on tanks with rocks, these people are like literally ready to strap bombs to their kids to blow up troops. I don't think a guy in a suit is really gonna shock them that much.
I bet if you started bombing them with pigs blood and shooting them with bullets filled with pigs fat that they'd think twice about what they are doing... That is about the only way you are going to "scare" them into submission.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Isnt that India?

That Armor would not really suit well in combat due to view, weight, staring through a glass or whatever material face plate also feeling restricted would impair reaction time and movement (just think of how medieval knights felt wearing all that armor. Standard soldiers carry about 67 pounds. Changing the armor excluding water canteens, etc would still make the armor over 80 pounds which I doubt anyone can carry for long.
Yeah India, cow bombs. :X

Standard soldiers only carry 67lbs? That might be true when they are launching an attack and if they only weight 160lbs but the rest of the time 80lbs wouldn't be uncommon for a soldier to carry when you consider how much armor and ammunition they have to carry during forced marches and while out on patrol.
Source 1 Source 2

From all of the soldiers I know that went to Iraq they all said they carried at least 80lbs of gear and in a few cases more than 100lbs (someone who was manning a SAW).

Like I said before, weight really isn't the issue.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

If our soldiers are currently able to fight with that much gear on doesn't that make your statement false, especially when you consider they carry close to twice that for forced marches? I think you under estimate our soldiers. I've been on forced marches before, carrying that much weight isn't a lot of fun BUT it is do-able and for extended periods of time.

I do agree that lighter would be better, you have no idea how light your body feels when running after you carried around 60-70lbs all day long for the last 6 weeks.

When I said weight wasn't the issue I was referring to that guys "Halo" armor. That crap it is made out of just isn't going to be able to withstand rifle caliber ammunition. The creator said he shot it with an "elephant" gun, but those are usually large bore weapons that use low pressure cartridges meaning they travel slower. Military ammunition on the other hand is designed to operate at higher velocities and impact in the smallest section possible, they are also commonly cored with steel rather than lead like most civilian cartridges are so they don't break up upon impact.

Maybe the creator should have marketed the idea to hollywood instead of the military.

FELIPE NO
