I'm surprised this wasn't talked about:

Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, center, looks on during practice in Indianapolis, Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. Four Indiana Pacers players were involved in an altercation at Club Rio, an Indianapolis strip club, early Friday.
AP - Oct 6, 5:02 pm EDT

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A man was charged with criminal recklessness for a fight outside a strip club where police say Indiana Pacers guard Stephen Jackson fired a gun and was hit by a car.

Deon Willford was arrested Tuesday on felony counts of criminal recklessness and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and a misdemeanor count of driving without a license, police said.

The 23-year-old Willford drove the car that hit Jackson, said police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Mount. Other details of the fight could be released this week if police complete their investigation, he added.

Willford was being held at the Marion County Jail on $100,000 bond. Roger Rayl, a spokesman for the Marion County prosecutor's office, said no court appearances had been scheduled yet for Willford.

Police also questioned another Indianapolis man, who was later released. Police were still looking for a possible third person who had been with the other two men at the time.

Four Pacers were involved in the mayhem at Club Rio early Friday. Police said Jackson fired a gun in the air in apparent self-defense, was slugged in the mouth and struck by a car that sent him tumbling onto the hood.

Coach Rick Carlisle said Saturday that Jackson and teammates Jamaal Tinsley, Marquis Daniels and Jimmie Hunter committed an "error in judgment" by staying out late during training camp but he was relieved no one was seriously injured.

Police said they found a small amount of marijuana in the passenger-side door of point guard Tinsley's car. But no arrests were made because there were three others in Tinsley's car and police could not determine who had the marijuana, authorities said.

Jackson was expected at Pacers practice Tuesday for the first time since the fight.
More Pacer drama involving Stephen Jackson who, if I remember right, was suspended during that Pacer-Pistons brawl a while ago.

Anyways, seems like there's an lack of interest with the Fantasy Basketball - bah.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Heat/Bulls was really really boring. One-sided for the most the game, hell the Bulls had like 40 points on them. Like do the Heat not care since they all just go their rings?

It's only one game, sure, but that's some poor poor play.

You forgot that fact that Lamar Odom is straight up ridiculous.

56 points, including 4 3-pointers made. 22 rebounds and 15 assists, and can't forget the 3 steals. And that's just two games.

Sucks that his fantasy value will go down a bit once Kobe Bryant comes back...

I was speaking idiomatically.

Awesome shot Timberwolf. That was definitely on the highlight reel for a while.

McGrady had a good first game, but had a bad second game and Yao had to pull through with 36 points.

I was actually wrong with Kobe's comeback - Lamar still showed himself to be one of the main focuses on the offense.

There have been some great games, and I have to admit that I'm pretty excited about the season.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Wasn't McGrady injured with back problems for most of last year? Could be something relating to that, but hopefully it's not injury-related just rustiness.

Though I have to say that something is wrong, and that he does need to get out of whatever slump he's in in order for the Rockets to push on through the rest of the season and into the playoffs.

If both of them are struggling, the Rockets don't have a chance.
I think Yao missed like 25 games, and McGrady missed like 10+ more than that.

Yao was a tank last year though, making up for T-Macs not being there.

And yeah, Yao was amazing last year. In games from Feb. 22nd to Apr. 7th he scored 20+ points (with the exception of two games) and had 10+ rebounds (with the exception of five games), including a 21 rebound game and 8 30+ point games.

The lack of Shawn Marion confuses me. Take Anthony out and put Marion in.

Meh...At the very least include Paul Pierce .

Still, the games have been very enjoyable to watch as I've stated, though that game the Rockets played completely broke down against the Spurs. They were up big, but pretty much gave up on defense for a while.

How about the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference? Three tied for first, all with the record of 5-8.

So, we're going back to the old balls mid-season; January 1st to be exact.

I'm in love with the Rocket's one. The simplicity of it, and just how awesome it is just makes me want to buy it (I need money...).

Where will AI end up...that's the question for December.

Well, we do know he won't go to Charlotte 'cause he refuses, but where else?
I think Sacremento or Minnesota would be good spots, Minnesota being the best. Garnett and AI just seem like a good tandem.

I think Woody Paige said something about AI going to the Lakers...stupidiest thing I've ever heard. Kobe and AI couldn't co-exist on a team.

I was speaking idiomatically.

He's probably sitting at home - kind of like how he's sitting on my bench for one of my Fantasy teams.

The issue is that all the offers the Sixers are getting aren't that good. The reason is the other teams realize that the Sixers and Iverson are done, so their sending off mediocre players who aren't even close to the worth of Iverson.

I think Sportscenter mentioned it - the Sixers are getting offers that are significantly worse than the offers made for Iverson over the summer.

Surprisingly, both New York and Denver won today - New York over Utah in OT and Denver over the Wizards.

I was pretty shocked with both games. Denver without Anthony just doesn't seem like a winning situation, but they pulled through (and Camby played really well). I still can't believe New York beat Utah though...pretty low scoring OT game though.

I still think Minnesota would have been better for AI, but Philly got more for AI than I thought they would.

AI seems like he'll fit in Denver well enough. Camelo and AI will probably split points (like how McGrady and Yao splits points - in the 30s or low 30s/high 20s), though AI will have 14 games to get use to playing for the Nuggets.

Looks like a repeat of last season for the Rockets.

Yao is plagued with another injury that will take him out for weeks, and McGrady is again plagued with back spasms (though McGrady could be back tonight).

Being without Yao is a huge blow, though they still have Mutombo and his elbows of death. Battier needs to step up on offense.

I'm looking for AI to have a huge game against the Celtics. 30+ points.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yet another 3OT game. This time between the Lakers and Bobcats.

Anyone have a count as to how many OT games we've had this year?

Is that 21 boards, or points? Because 20+ boards in a game is incredible!
29 points and 21 rebounds against the Suns (they still lost though).

And I have to say that Dwight Howard is a beast. Bishop said it, 20+ rebounds in 4 games, and yesterday's game was ridiculous.

30 points and 25 rebounds? Great stuff.

So eight player trade today between the Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers.

Pacers get:
Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod

Warriors get:
Al Harrington (Best person in the trade IMO), Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell

I think the Warriors got the better part of the trade, but anyway - Article

Good to see both Bosh and Arenas getting starting nods. Arenas should have been on the team last year but got snubbed.

The East is SO weak at the center position that Shaq should get the starting spot there every year by default. The West starters are no suprise at all. Like you said, it's become the typical norm over the last couple years.

It should be a very good game.

-------------

Also, tonight, the Suns go for a franchise-record 16th straight win tonight against the Bucks. I'm sure they'll get it. They've just been totally streaking lately. Might be the greatest offense in the history of the Association.
There was an argument for Dwight Howard at center (since he is most deserving) yet this is the All-Star game, and fans would rather see Shaq over the power house that is Howard.

Shame Yao is injured though, he was definitely deserving after what he did most of the season. :/

Was Nash even selected for the all star team? I thought he would have a great chance at making the starting lineup, but I just never heard of him. He might just be on the bench.

And too bad about Yao. Any estimates when he'll be back in action again?
I think Yao was thought to be back at the end of Feb. to the beginning of March, but I'm not sure if I heard that from a source or if it was just my roommate talking about it.

As for Nash, he's on bench.

That's gotta be a lot of pressure on his legs though. Like Yao seems really able at his height, while I remember Sun was looked over in the draft cause he was slow, weak and seemed susceptible to injury.

How ya doing, buddy?
