Yeah, the second concussion slipped my mind, which is weird cause I watched the game on TV.

Though yeah, even though he wasn't suffering from any post-concussion symptoms (headaches, etc.), Cowher shouldn't have let him play. No one plays the week after they have a concussion - especially when the back-up has played well.

Bishop, you're forgetting that the 5-2 Saints are also in your division. Panthers should be better than their playing, especially when nearly everyone had them going to the Superbowl.

The NFC South has 3 teams that are .500 or higher; same with the NFC East. If the Panthers don't win the division (which they probably won't if Atlanta and Vick keep it going), they'll be in a tight race for one of the two wild card spots.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It didn't look too bad when I saw it on TV, and when they recapped it during every NFL post-game/recap shows. Plus everyone said it looked like a mild ankle sprain, and that's all I thought it could be.

So yeah, Bush is fine, no "OMG Bush is done for the season" comments.

A couple of great matchups today:

Cincy/Baltimore
Dallas/Washington
Denver/Pittsburgh

and the main event: Indy/New England

Another good week of football, and a Sunday night rivalry match that many is looking forward to.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So the Bears lose to go to 7-1. The Colts win to stay perfect. And Tom Brady threw four INTs against the Colts (who do have a good pass defense, just a horrid run defense).

The game was pretty good, and pretty close on paper - though those 4 INTs were where the Patriots did wrong.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Did Brady play bad, or was the Colts pass defense just that good? Were the Pats able to run the ball?
Pats ran for near 150 yards with two touchdowns by Dillon.

Though the highlight was the Colts Defense (at least that's how some see it, ESPN.com titled the recap "Defense grabs 4 INTs to help Colts remain unbeaten"). 5 Turnovers (4 INTs and 1 Fumble) and holding Brady to zero TDs in New England. Though Brady still threw for 200+ yards.

Vinatieri did miss two field goals (37, 46) of his four attempts. Pats' kicker missed one of three attempts.

The Pittsburgh/Cleveland game was a close one. They showed the last few seconds of the game after the Cincy/New Orleans one (Brees throwing for over 400 yards in a losing effort - ridiculous).

And it appears Donovan McNabb is out for the season. Ouch.

Edit: Brees actually threw for 510 yards. Geez.

Agreed. Especially since Mike Vanderjagt can't kick field goals to save his life.

Anyways, Chad Johnson made another great showing - this time with the Bengals winning. After the 260 yards and 2 TDs in the lost against the Chargers, Johnson comes back with 190 yards and 3 TDs.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I can't really understand Michael Vick with his good games and his absolute horrid ones. Like he can pass well enough as he's shown, but he's inability to sustain something of a passing game just doesn't make sense to me.

Schaub may be coming in, but Vick has talent to do something, if not be a QB somewhere. Transition to WR? Probably not.

I like Tony Romo for the Cowboys, but that's a given - though Rex Grossman, QB for the Bears, is kinda similar to Vick. Great in some games, but some horrid one as well. He had 2 3 INTs games in his last four games.

Yeah, I understand that. I guess I'm a bit more critical since we both grew up in the same city, but I dunno - Atlanta needs some makeovers here and there on both offense and defense.

Definitely forgot about Thursday's game. Didn't even notice it was there until Sportscenter talked about it.

It's on NFL Network right?

Bears won the division, so they have a playoff spot.

As for the rest of the NFC, wildcard seems interesting enough. Dallas seems set to take the NFC East, while the NFC West favors Seattle (St. Louis, San Francisco and Arizona...I can't see it). NFC South seems to be New Orleans by the way they're playing, but Carolina is still there.

If N.O. does win the NFC South then it'd probably come down to the Giants, Panthers, and Falcons for the Wildcard.

Anyways, Arizona won, which means it's just Oakland and Detroit tied for the worst record in the league.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yeah, it's really hard to remember the Thursday games, and most people end up not even noticing the game until Saturday since they're prepping up for Sunday.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a fan of Thursday games. Just put a game or two on NFL Network on Sunday, it'd be easier.

And the Steelers played the Browns, not a game I'd really want to watch anyway.

I dunno. Dallas is pretty good, but they haven't really provened much TO ME. Like they've won games (including some close ones), but I think Chicago's defense, or if Dallas plays New Orleans again, the Saints' offense will handle Dallas.

Dallas doesn't really excel enough in my eyes to be in the Superbowl. On the AFC's side, though, there's a lot of contenders. Ravens, Chargers, Colts - playoffs are going to be interesting.

The Eagles surprised me though. Still in the playoff hunt even though McNabb is out for the season.

Apparently I'm the only person on earth who's been watching the Peyton Manning Playoff Show for the past few years.

Nothing's changed folks, the Colts are going to get sent home like they do every year.
You have to include the Colts. Even if there's a good 99% chance that Manning will blow it, there's still that 1% chance he might actually make it past a game.

Perhaps it'd be better for the Colts if they actually had to play in the wildcard game.

How ya doing, buddy?

Um. So...Falcons fire Jim Mora as coach. Article

Not really sure about this idea since now Vick gets to learn yet another offensive scheme under a different coach.

Kansas City was a huge surprise for me. I REALLY thought it would be Denver (as I'm sure everyone else did), but it didn't happen. Three from the NFC East this year, though I really didn't think the Giants would make it after their freefall in these last couple weeks (or the Eagles for that matter after they lost McNabb. Go Garcia).

So draft order has been released.

Raiders get the #1 pick, Lions #2, Bucs and Browns will fight for #3 and #4 (via a coinflip). Lions are keeping Millen, which means they may go for ANOTHER WR in the first round for the fourth straight year.

The Colts defense was playing great. Held Larry Johnson to 32 yards rushing, and Trent Green to 107 yards passing. The also forced 2 INTs and a fumbled (which they recovered).

They gotta keep playing like that if they want to go to the Superbowl.

Peyton played poorly, but not horribly though. 3 INTs sure, but he was 30 for 38 for 268 yards and a TD. Pretty much his flaws today were those 3 INTs (2 to Ty Law).

I would hate to be Romo right now. Jeez, that can't be a good feeling when you botch setting the ball for a chip shot field goal (which probably would have won the game).

Not exactly the ending I envisioned for that game.

Both of the AFC match ups have me excited for the weekend. Colts v. Ravens and Patriots v. Chargers should both be good games.

NFC...not so much. I don't care for the Seattle/Chicago or New Orleans/Philly one. Maybe the latter a bit, but I'm not as excited to watch those two like the two AFC games. On that note, I'm pretty sure it's the AFC coming away with the SB win again this year.

Ridiculous defensive game in Baltimore today. 6 TOs. 4 by Baltimore (though that last fumble by McNair really wasn't big in my mind as McNair acted/knew the game was over), and 2 by the Colts (Manning INTs again).

Vinatieri was best described by Dungy - "Money." 5 FGs.

Patriots versus Colts at Indianapolis. Reuniting Vinateri with the Patriots in the AFC Championships.

I'm loving how the post season is working out. I really thought San Diego was going to win this one and win against the Colts to go on to the Super Bowl, but I was wrong.

Colts/Patriots and Bears/Saints. The Superbowl is going to be crazy.

I formatted my computer but failed to retain by bracket, so you'll just have to imagine the rest. Not that anyone cared.
You could just re-save the most recent one you posted, and just copy and paste the winning helmets or something.

Well the NFC Championship game looks to be over. After that Reggie Bush 88 yard TD (which was awesome to watch BTW), the Bears basically decided to be better on offense.

32-14 in the 4th. Looks like the Bears are headed to the Superbowl (and Lovie Smith technically being the first black coach to go to it - as long as they finish off the game).

There's nowhere I can't reach.
