wtf, why is there two FFXIII's for the PS3?? is it gonna be like some pokemon thing like red and blue version?? can someone fill me in on this??!

okay... wtf, a sequel already and the game hasn't been released yet, I got excited when i saw the screenshots of the girl and the dude with the blue hair, but now i'm kinda disappointed that Square-Enix is making 2 games under the FFXIII name just to make money... They can probably fit both games in one dual layer blu-ray anyway...

Sweet! I just saw the video Hantei posted, definitely has a real time feel to it; the girl sorta reminds me of Ashe from FF12 except more badass.

Every. Single. Image. from a battle has Lightning down there. It's clearly not a spell, since "Firaga" is in there. Only other thing I can come up with is that "Lightning" is a particular combat stance or active element such as one imbued on a weapon. Who knows, I suppose.

Now that you mention it, I've noticed that some of the pictures say fire, blizzard and thunder. Wouldn't it be better to put thunder on that spot other than lightning if it is some type of elemental attack/status/stance or whatever.

It's not that it's a highly stylized it's just different from what we're used to seeing, plus it's yellow cuz it's highlighted indicating that the character in control is Lightning.

I was surprised seeing that it would be out on launch, if it was coming out on 360, I thought it would've been months after it launches on ps3.

I wonder if this includes versus as well.

edit: nvm about the japan thing, thought it was worldwide, but only for NA and Europe.

the only reason why i'm bothered by this is that the 360 version has to be finished before they can release the ps3 one. they've been working on the ps3 version for about 2 years now, and I'm guessing the xbox version has been in development for about 4-6months. I don't know how long it takes to port the code and what not, but ps3 owners are going to have to wait longer than if it was exclusive to the ps3.

i wonder if sony or square enix ever said it was only possible on ps3. heh heh
