[PS2] Final Fantasy XII

I have to decide wich game to get for christmas. I'm rather undecided among ff12, tales of the abyss, and silmeria (even if i think i won't buy this one, since i can't afford to get an original copy of vp1).
So, wich one do you say would the best game to play during holidays?

Hey guys, i wanna finish ff12 100%. So i decided to use a guide. Now i have to make an important choice, between a gamefaqs guide or the official guide. Do you know any gamefaqs guide that is better than the official guide? I also have to consider the price of the official guide, and the number of pages to print a gamefaqs guide (including the sidequests).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So you say that it wouldn't be a good idea to buy the official guide, since it contains spoilers? I always hated spoiler guides, and loved spoiler free ones.
But if you say that it's not even full, then i'm definitly going for a gamefaqs guide.
I'll ask you wich gamefaqs guide is the best, later, when they'll be more updated (but before christmas of course ).

Which swords? No weapon is important or required in the end, the Zodiac Spear is just the strongest weapon in the game going by attack. There are other weapons that do more damage given the same amount of time, so it's definitely not a big loss. Unless of course you're a completion freak.

I used him, though I would've definitely switched him for Balthier (+ Ashe and Penelo or Fran (though she's a bitch, I mean, why can't she just tell her damn age, instead of acting like an ass about it?)), had I known that there are no fights where only the main character (Vaan) can participate, like some RPGs have.

Can you give me some advice about the license? How is magic and physical attack in this game? Does magic sucks, or is it as good as physical damage (both during the game and in the endgame).

Is it best fran or ashe for magic (buffs, debuffs, whm)? If i should only develop one for magic (or ashe or fran), and to the other one just give the most important spells (such as the first lvls of whm), what should i develop the other for? For example, if it's best to develop ashe in magic, what should i develop fran in?

Should i develop swords or axes or katana for ashe? I'm having difficulties with the demon wall, and i see that axes have a lot more damage.

I found a guide on gamefaqs, that tells you how to auto level your characters. Did you use that? If so, could you get to lvl 99 there?
How should i level my secondary characters, without getting bored?

Actually, i'm just going to the dungeon described there, but i still haven't got some foe target gambit, that the guide says are necessary. So, should i go there again later, in order to autolevel?

It would have been good if you could save the gambit presets. So that when you need a boss gambit configuration, you can load it with one button (as you already prepared it before, and "saved" it), and then, when you need a leveling configuration, you can load it with one button too.

Anyway, i've just killed the judge on Mt. Bur-Omisace. To kill the boss on the precedent dugeon, and that boss, i really sweated a lot, and wasted tons of hi-potions and phoenix downs. I don't wanna level up my secondary party members, but i need to level up my main characters. So, do you know a good place where to level up, where i'm now? Should i just go on the game and level up my characters before or in phon coast?

Where can i find the deathbringer, in bahleim passage? I've just got back there, but i dunno wich mob has got it. Do i have to steal it, or is it a random drop?

Woa, i got 3 deathbringers. It took me forever for the mob to spawn the first time, but the second and third succeded after little.
Are you saying that this weapon is not really useful in the endgame? 'Cause i really wanted to get it, as some people told me it's an endgame sword, and i found it as a weapon suggested in some of the hardest extra bosses strategies.
