If what that article said is true and not over-exaggerated, then I believe that the family deserved it. Trying something and and not liking it is one thing, but taking one bite out of something and throwing out the whole plate makes no sense. The family could have taken one egg roll, for example, instead of 4, if they didn't feel like eating it all.
