Don Mapache. That wasn't ever supposed to happen. I just happened to call someone "El Mapache" and at some point in time, this completely backfired. And it's "Don" because it sounds better than the female version, apparently. Doña Mapache?
And there's Ming Ring. I once used the false name Ming Ling--definitely going on unfounded stereotypes here--and somebody decided that Ling would be mispronounced as Ring. Unfortunately, this stuck, and I'm called Ming Ring by more people than I would have originally liked. Mind you, I would have liked ZERO. =D
