I recently started playing chess again and forgot how much I adore it. I love the game; I think it's the greatest board game ever created. Nothing is left to chance and good games are nothing but intellect vs. intellect. I have no desire to study the game, though. Learn the psychology behind various strategies and the 'best' kinds of opening moves, etc. I just like to play a game at a time and see what I can do.
Who else is a chess player? Are you good? I used to think I was a great player until I started playing others online. If I'm playing someone in person I greatly dislike talking. I like to focus on every move and if the opponent is blabbin' away about
The Hottie and the Nottie I can't very well yell CHECK, now can I?
Anyway. It sounds geeky but there's a lot of drama involved in planning moves and series of sacrifices. The balance of the game can be tipped with the capture of a single piece sometimes.
Stories or general chess dicussion? Just an idea.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
