so there really was a crash once again?



well i got a question here:

there are 2 questions concerning library of leng

You know i love necropotence and i dont mind the drawback much but still i wonder if i could just keep the cards on my hand....

1. you know the text changed, like on spellbook, instead of "you have no discard phase" it says "you have no maximum handsize"

2. its about cycling: can I cycle on my library (so that I just redraw the cycled card) and still use side-effects of cycling?

as I understand the rules cycling requires to discard that card, while library of leng says "whenever you're forced to discard.

I personally think that it should work because I get to the step when I HAVE TO dicard a card (the cycled one) so I could put it on library instead (which is before I draw one)

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Thats what I expected.(by the way, necro never shred the graveyard in the 1st place...ya know cards coult still be destroyed.

Actually its for Gempalm Polluter as part of my next zombie deck (very fast paced, and with a nice touch of suicide) , in case you still know me, you should remember that i love zombies

since library is a slower in the 1st place i will just use it, because its good for both, necro and gempalm.

errrm, well im kinda getting unsure again, because of this:

"04.10.2004 You can't use the Library of Leng ability to place a discarded card on top of your library when you discard a card as a cost, because costs aren't effects."

Discard should be a cost in cycling (It says "Dicard this card: ...")

well as i said, i dont mind the drawback of necro....having a perfect hand (or at least close to) is still cool enough IMO.

yeah sure I was talking about the REAL cycling, not about that new Transmute stuff which is kinda like cycling anyway, well the deck remains untested because i miss some commons and uncommons..i'll post it as soon as they arrived from the trader

Its a pretty fast deck, if mana works as it should it doesnt know much enemies...I've even beaten some very good sligh deck with it

However its weak point (the mana) is damn obvious, playing a 3-colored deck without any duals cant be too good...thatswhy I plan to replace the basic lands by 4 Sacred Faundry, 4 Steam Vents and 4 Hallowed Fountain.

Sure it can be risky playing without any basic lands, not to forget the pain caused by the lands (at least less painful than the "painlands" known from Ice-Age/Apocalypse)

I also look forward to the day when Ravnica goes out of Standard, I just cant wait to add some Fire//Ice (kick out shock of course)!

Of course there will be more changes have to be done then but Fire//Ice seems to be the most important card to include, thinking of its power

its just like 2 months until ravnica leaves standard so its time to remodel the deck...I dont have my decklist on me right now...Im gonna post it within the next days...

Btw....what do you think of the design introduced in futuresight?

wow i hate it so much....if they really switch to that design now mtg is kinda doomed looking like just any random tcg..i loved mtg for looking badass (classical design, before 8th edition/mirrodin)...ya know timeshifted cards in timespiral have been the best looking recently..well I just loved to see they went back to the classical design of cards..

oh yeah Im also in the middle of building a zombie deck which is based on aluren...will be fun to play....decklist comes with the other one

depends on the format you play i guess....Hell as far as I hear they even unbanned Mind Twist....so....guess you can be lucky and most of your stuff is legal in legacy or even extended (no need to talk about vintage IMO)
