The Immigration Protests

I'm sure you've all seen the huge protests by immigrants against the propsed law changes regarding illegal immigration. The one thing that stood out to me the most was the abundance of Mexican flags carried by the protestors. I think this will have a negative effect for their casue. I know it pissed me off. These people disregard U.S. laws and enter the country and the carrying of Mexican flags shows where their true allegiance lies. They're in the U.S. now, if Mexico is so damn important in their hearts that they carry Mexican flags instead of American flags, then go the hell back to that shit hole of a country you left.

So, what do you think of the protests? The proposed law making illegal entry a felony? ( I'm in favor of it). The argument that the U.S. is a country of immigrants is a bogus one, because the U.S. is a country of LEGAL immigrants, not invaders who disregard the laws of the land. Remember, most who enter illegally also work illegally, drive without licenses and insurance and disregard whatever other laws that don't suit them.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

LEGALLY!..The European immigrants came here legally. They had to pass thorugh a strict screening process. those who were criminals or had diseases were turned away. Not so with the porous border. The Eurpopeans melded with the country, made an effort to learn English. They did not protest enmasse holding the flags of the nations that they left, demanding rights that they are not entitltled to.

It depends where you live. In Texas $8.00 goes alot farther than it does in New york.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The cops aren't going to pull people over because they look Mexican. There is usually plenty of probable cause available, and when the person pulled over has no I.D. except the one from Mexico or Guatamala, then they can further inquire as to immigration status. As it is now, police don't bother bringing in known illegals because the feds won't come and get them.

Most lefties have no idea of the true cost of these ILLEGAL aliens. Car insurance is much higher because these folks don't get insurance, let alone driver licenses. Health care costs are through the roof, or haven't you noticed? Hospitals are going out of business on the border because they are swamped with non paying illegals. The criminal justice system is overwhelmed by the massive influx of criminal illegals, let alone the DWI's and other misdemeanor crimes. School systems are buckling under the weight of all the illegals being educated on the government dime. Ranchers have their fences cut, allowing their cattle to escape. Their ranches are trashed, their land turned into latrines. Ohh, but the poor immigrant, they just want to come to work. So do billions of Chinese, but they don't have the advantage of an open border with the U.S. Why not just let them in too...or are you an anti Asian racist???

Enough of the Mexican flag crap already. This is the United States of America..its not Mexico!!! These punk kids have alot of nerve getting their free education paid for by American taxpayers, yet they want to leave class and protest. I'm sure they'd get a fine education in Nuevo Laredo, why not just go there if fucking Mexico is so dear to their hearts.

Comment: Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes
here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he
shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an
outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or
birthplace, or origin. But. this is predicated upon the man's becoming
in very fact an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no
divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but
something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one
flag, the American flag ... and this excludes the red flag, which
symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it
excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile. We have
room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And
we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the
American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

I really hope you aren't that stupid. So, the Poles and Italians and Germans who came over should have just kept speaking their native language. I'm sure they would have melded with society just fine without knowing English. Do we want a Blakanized country with every group having its own little enclave, or do we want a united country. And just how successful can a person be in this country if he doesn't know English?

As to your flag comments, sure, everyone can have a flag of their former coutry at home. wave it if you want, but don't fly a foreign flag over a U.S. government school!!

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

In my opinion, it stirs Mexican nationalism and incites and anti-American attitude. My opinion is backed up by the signs of many protestors indicating their opinion that the southwest United states actually belongs to Mexico.

Well...the anthem combined with Mondays upcoming boycott/protest should really serve to cause further division in the country. Hmmmm a work walkout sponsored by immigrant groups and big labor scheduled fro May day?? Nope...no communist agitating here.

Singing the anthem in Spanish points out the big problem with the illegal immigrants and that is a failure to melt into the "vast melting pot" of America. Past immigrants from Europe made a point to learn the language and assimilate. This group seems to want to turn various areas of the U.S. into little mexicos.

Those immigrants, while maintaining a community to some degree, tend to mesh quite well with american society. Tell me where are all the school classes being taught in Chinese or italian or Korean? These folks don't usually come over demanding things be done to accomodate them. They learn English and become successful Americans. Of course most of them come here LEGALLY.
