Notice how two very appealing launch games have suddenly gone 2007?
![]() Bye, bye, "Super Mario Galaxy" and "Metroid Prime 3 Corruption". Bye, bye, perfect launch line-up. ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Kapplan said there's still some hardware secrets. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Japan: 25000 Yen = 167 € USA: 250 USD = 196 € Europe: 250 € = 37300 Yen = 320 USD Huh, anyone? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Nintendo made far too much hints at a fairly low price with its comments about the console "being affordable for anyone". So 250€ + 50€ for one game = 300€ (= 381 USD) is cheap? o_O Damn Wii Sports. I'd rather have just the console than a low-budget game without WiFi-support. I so hoped for 150€ (= 190 USD) but I would have been willing to spend 200€ (= 254 USD) - but 250€ is just too much. I'll either wait for the prices to drop or I'll consult eBay. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I'm sorry, I don't mean to be offensive but at the moment I'm just very upset. ![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
As I said before, €200 would have been okay but €250 is a slap in the face. Europe gets the Wii last and has to pay most. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Initial price €167 (Yen 25000) + taxes and toll € 33 (20%) ============================ Reasonable price €200 (= $250) Nintendo's greed is responsible for this shit. Who needs Wii Sports? It's just a lame excuse for the overpriced console. If they released a few bundles with other games it would have been a different story, though. BTW: You can beat up women in Wii Boxing! Cool, misogynist festival! ![]() FELIPE NO

Thanks for the info, Acer!
BlueMikey, I don't think they're talking about "Hit the Road" but rather the new game, "Episode 1". But I'd be the first to get "Hit the Road" on Wii. ![]() What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Whoa!! What happened to 'Red Steel'? It looks fantastic all of a sudden. Just look at the high-res entries here. I'm more than confident with these graphics.

I've read in a blog that GC games look better on the Wii somehow. Does anyone know something about that? There's nowhere I can't reach. |

The final surprise was just a mockup. This is confirmed by Reggie in an interview (he said there won't be any more secrets unless not even he knows them).
How ya doing, buddy? |
They answered that most PAL games were directly ported (so "porting" means letting you download ROMs, ah) and thus don't support 60Hz.
I suggested them to either provide PAL and NTSC versions of the ROMs or to implement a "force to 60Hz mode" (at least for SNES and NES games) option. They wrote that they'd transfer it to the people in charge. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Of course the output of your American Wii is NTSC. It could be that the TV you'll have in Australia (if you don't take your own with you) won't be able to output NTSC. Most of the newer ones do, though.
