Just for the record, I run a website called Sierra Music Central (Google for it, not enough posts to URL tag it) and I recorded the LOK1 track- the OGG file in the extras is the original recording, converted from a WAV (i.e. better quality than the MP3 which has been reconverted).
And, if you want to be picky, it's not a 'game rip'. It's got different piano than the original audio for one. (Also got too much bass since I used a SB Live! to record it, but that's another story. )It's also going to be replaced by a new version, I'm currently working on a complete LOK1CD, about 1/3 complete now (register at my forums [again, Google] and post today! ).Anyway, I didn't come here just for that, I was a GFF member newbie not too long before the infamous crash, and never rejoined, although people keep telling me to. This provides a good excuse ![]() Good to hear people like the track too, it's my personal favourite from the game. Regards, - Spike Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Heh. Shouldn't GFF have a rule, since it's popular enough, that no nominators should be able to vote that week, or at least some sort of similar rule (e.g no more than 1 point for the song you nominated)? I'd think this place has enough people to vote on songs.
Also, that'd keep a kind of 'rotation system' so the same people aren't nominating or nominating/voting on their own song every week. But, I'm sure you guys have discussed that already, and it's not the biggest deal in the world I suppose. On Kirby's Air Ride, very few here have played it or heard the music I would imagine, I agree with Kaleb wholeheartedly. Not sure I agree that Kirby's Adventure is so well known though- there was a GBA remake which had a good soundtrack in its' own right (way different to the NES version in that the sound quality is much better, although it's the same tracks), and to complicate matters one of the GBA rips (what the guy's handle, Grawl I think) is rubbish. I love the music and would love to see more good tracks made from it (whether remixes or enhancements), since the Kirby OC remix project's Kirby's Adventure tracks are kind of some good, some bad, plus they don't have most of the tracks recorded. IMO, there's no satisfactory soundtrack out there for the game, and I'm too busy to do it myself. But, I'm off-topic, sorry guys/gals. ![]() - Spike There's nowhere I can't reach. |
