Hello people, I have a problem that has been troubling me for months, when I run my mugen windowed I have no problem, it mugen a it's best, however, when I go fullscreen, the screen starts flashing black twice per second. I have tried to fix it by changing resolution of my desktop and in mugen, also by changing the color configuration in desktop and mugen, I have tried all Direct X modes, I started my mugen with no chars, screenpacks, etc. and the problem wasn't fixed. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT. Apart from that, it isn't a speed issue because I put in the game not to skip any frames and the speed remains the same
Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Hi guys, I have a problem with my winmugen. Even when I use the default version (only with kung fu man), when I go full screen my screen starts flashing black like crazy, but not even one little black flash in windowed mode, and it isn't Direct x mode because I have tried them all without success, PLEASE HELP.
How ya doing, buddy? |

To save changes to the whole SFF file press the 4th button in the sprites options, but if you want to save a single sprite (just one picture) you should select the 3rd option in the sprites section, by default it saves it as PCX, but you can choose from PCS, BMP, GIF and JPG (I edited a Guilty Gear chipp using BMPs).
Regarding to my question above, do you have any idea of how to solve that problem? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

I tried that a lot of times but it didn't work and the resolution for mugen that I use is 640 x 480, and my desktop resolution is 1024 x 768, I don't know what to do, I've searched almost every mugen site of questions and answers and no one has this issue. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

If you are talking about the screen size which you set with the buttons of the monitor itselves, I just tried putting a very small one and it slowed down a bit I think but didn't stop, thanks a lot anyway, I hadn't tried that.

I have a little present for such a nice guy (if you like guilty gear), but it's a surprise, I have to fix a bit of "things" but I will upload it later for you, and I know no one in the world has it because I edited this myself, though you need a good computer to use him (a char), just be patient
Double Post: Well my friend, I've finally done it, the char is lacking a bit of effects but is working great... I'M TALKING ABOUT CHIPP!!! Even though I asked meka if he let me edit his char he didn't answer so I did, I changed his sprites to make him look like the real GGX Chipp. The only problem is that when you do his 20 hit super it consumes A LOT of computer resources, but mine is just slow (256 mb ram) so I figure that in yours (I guess it is faster) Chipp should do just fine. Although, if it is slow in your computer you can put a lower value to "HelperMax" in "mugen.cfg", the lower the value, the faster Chipp's super goes, but that can cause some (non crashing) errors in other players super moves. SO ENJOY, I HOPE YOU LIKE HIM, HE IS AT THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S4RY3EKB How ya doing, buddy?

Yes, I think it is a good conversion, but meka is the one who did all the hard work, I just changed the sprites and the .air file. Little question: does it look fast in your computer when you do the super?.
I also wanted to ask you if you had any other trick so that I can fix my mugen's full-screen problem, and if you had in the same quality of my chipp a testament, jam, baiken, may or axl, thanks man. Most amazing jew boots |

You have to replace the "fight.snd" file in your data directory with the one of CVS2, obviously some sounds will appear at an inapropriate time but you can fix that with Fighter Factory (for me the best mugen editor there is).
By the way, I have a problem, when I put full screen in mugen it start flashing black (and I couldn't fix it by changing options in "mugen.cfg"), any idea how to fix that error? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

YOU RULE LAZYGUY!!!!!!! Remember that you told Rioku to lower the hardware acceleration to fix sound, well, I did the same but to the point of disabling direct x and IT WORKED, those flashing days are finally over!!! I guess direct x is wrong at some point and I should reinstall it, I tried but it says that it is already installed, so if you can tell me how to install it it would be great. Although that little issue which I almost don't care, I am very happy that my mugen is running again at it's best. THANKS MAN!!!!!

rioku, do this: in your desktop, right-click in the background image and selec "properties", a new window will appear. Then choose "configuration" and then "advanced options". There there should be an option "problem solver" or something like that (sorry, my cpu is in spanish, here it is "solucionador de problemas"). And the last step would be lowering the "hardware acceleration" from complete to none or lower it as you see fit.
Good Luck, There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Anyone knows where to get Guilty Gear X Jam's sprites, because I found Guilty Gear XX Jam's ones but the triple kick is missing (the one done pressing "K" once).
I'm editing aoao's Jam and it's going great for now, but without those kicks it wouldn't be the same, of course when I finish the character I will upload it for you to get it!!! Double Post: DUDES, GREAT NEWS, DO YOU WANT REAL QUALITY GUILTY GEAR CHARACTERS (A.B.A, FAUST, JOHNNY, EDDIE [ZATO-1] and JAM). So Jam is there, and I will no longer edit aoao's one due to that this one is GREAT!!!! Anyway... here's the page http://dr-invincible.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

to change the size of your char go to the ooo.cns (ooo=character name, ex:for chipp the file is name chipp.cns), open it and look for 2 lines: xscale and yscale, which is normally 1 except for ggx characters. Now just change the number to a bigger one to increase the size or lower it to decrease it, so make a char smaller whose size is 1 you can put something like 0.5 to reduce his size in half (kind of a percentage method if you think about it)
Double Post: Little question for those who use Fighter Factory: why when I put a .bmp or .pcx sprite it appears excellent (with no palettes errors) and when I put mugen and do the move of the sprite it doesn't appear?. But when I put it like a .png it appears with the palette errors and also appears in mugen with the errors. Other thing, how can I make the char use 1 palette for his sprites and other for the effects? IF YOU TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT I'LL BE ABLE TO FINISH THE CHIPP I'VE BEEN EDITING (NOT A CRAPPY VERSION LIKE ALL OTHERS I'VE SEEN) I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I have a character request here: I'd appreciate that somebody uploads a high quality testament, because I've checked the pages of this forum and all I found was aoao's version which is clearly not as good as other I saw somewhere over the net (which of course I don't have now).
