This happens with all the men in my family. As for 'strange rituals', I'm pretty much the same as Syndrome: volume's gotta be a multiple of two or five. I go crazy when there's a one or three on the end. Seven and nine don't bother me much, though.

Same. Every night/morning before going to sleep, I'll turn the largest light in my room on, shake my comforter, and then the pillows. I have a bunch of borax in little bowls scattered throughout my room. Not much for spiders, more for anything else that's multipedal that I don't like.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
