Star Ocean the Second Story - This was the RPG that got me into RPGs. I had originally decided I didn't like RPGs after seeing FFVII (go figure, I think it was the whole turn base thing). I loved it so much, the characters, the different interactions, the real time battle system, as well as the skill system and actually being able to make things. Now if I could just beat the final boss...
FFIV - I really enjoyed this one of the FF series. Unfortunately I've lost my save 3857340 times, so I haven't beaten it yet. I got fairly attached to the characters, they had fun personalities. Plus the whole Red Wings thing amused me, being from Michigan. *way easily amused*
Not sure what to put down for a third... I do like FFVIII, FFX, and Wild Arms 3... I just haven't really played a whole lot.
