Hey, Tommy, I'm going to be attending the Hollywood Bowl concert, but I still need to buy tickets.

And by the way, Tommy has posted over at OC ReMix before to get people involed in his Earthworm Jim project, so I'm not too surprised to see him here.

Let me know if you need anything, Tommy.

If anyone cares, we had an old thread about VGL here:
http://www.gamingforce.com/forums/ge...e-returns.html

EDIT: By the way, that really is Tommy. His e-mail address confirms it.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Tommy, this is unrelated, but I'd love to know. What's the composer breakdown for the tracks on MDK (i.e. who composed what)? Or did you and Todd work together on all of the tracks?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yes, Treasure music would be awesome! Ikaruga is one of my favorite shooter soundtracks. An orchestra would truly do it justice.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I already have my tickets (going with some friends) and I'm taking the whole day off of work on Sept. 21 for the LA show.

Since I am a moderator on these forums, I'll have to meet with you then, as a representive of Gamingforce.

It was good meeting you there, Tommy! Sorry if I seemed a little too eager to talk to you. I had some friends waiting on me, and I just wanted to get some quick conversation in before I took off. I also know you were pressed for time, as there were a lot of industry people there you wanted to talk to.

The concert was great, but I think the people were my favorite part. I loved being able to talk with Alex Brandon, Christopher Tin, Spencer Nielsen, David Hayter, Tim Schafer, and well, everyone. They were all very friendly and interesting to talk to.

I'll probably post some more thoughts on the event later; it's pretty late right now. Anyway, I'm looking forward to VGL 2007.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Tommy, I plan on going to the LA concert next month. Could you give me a summary of what will be new in 2007 (compared to the 2006 LA concert)? Thanks.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I live in Northern VA now, so I will try to attend the Newark, NJ show. But if not, definitely the Washington, DC one. There may be a chance for me to see the Anaheim one during a trip back to CA.

Do you know which tracks you will be performing during these shows? I think it would be cool if your website listed scheduled music, and also if it had a page dedicated to past events along with full "tracklists" for each one.

I appreciate you answering all of those questions, Tommy. There were a few answers that I was already aware of, and I don't even know why Mr. X chose to challenge them. The rest clearly seem to have enough backing to them, and were interesting to read. I felt there could have been less "Mr. X is a liar" rote, as frankly, I think your facts speak for themselves. As for Mr. X, he needs to cool it. Staff is now well aware of what's going on here, and we will make sure that things stay in line. That's all I can say for now.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Tommy, what's the status on the Anaheim concert? It says TBA but the concert is scheduled in just a couple weeks. Has it been canceled? Do you know when you'll do another concert in that area?

What area do you live in? Are you in Orange County or L.A.?
Ventura, in Ventura County. Only an hour drive north of LA.

(Note that I'm out of the state currently, but I will be back to CA by Oct. 13th.)

Also, will you be having a Meet & Greet still? I have a friend that wants to meet Tim Schafer again.

As far as the ending, while I don't have anything against One Winged Angel, especially the guitar version, I would have liked to see something like Dancing Mad.
Allow me to say that I do have something against One Winged Angel: It's been in every VGM concert I've been to, and I'm tired of hearing it.

I meant to also say something about Ace Combat.
Allow me to say to Tommy: I'm humbly requesting that you include a track from the Ace Combat series. I would recommend either "The Unsung War" from Ace Combat 5, or "Zero" from Ace Combat Zero.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I still prefer my Ace Combat choices over "Megalith".

Also, I understand why OWA is included so often, but I just wanted to say my part.

The Ace Combat series has had some different styles in each game. There are rock, electronic, and orchestral influences throughout the series. Here's a brief rundown:

Ace Combat 1 (Air Combat): rock/synth
Ace Combat 2: rock, techno
Ace Combat 3: ambient electronic
Ace Combat 4: orchestral, electronic
Ace Combat 5: orchestral, rock, electronic
Ace Combat Zero: latin rock, orchestral, etc.
Ace Combat 6: orchestral, ambient, etc.
Ace Combat X: techno

Hey Tommy, some friends and I are going to VGL in LA next month. Can you tell me what kind of music you have lined up for the event? Also, will you be doing a meet-and-greet this time?

Thanks!

the original Castlevania and Mega Man X2 composer (Kinuyo Yamashita)
Mega Man X3 you mean. ;} Yeah, I heard she lives in New Jersey now. Pretty random. Wish I could be there to check it out! Currently I'm going to college to try and learn a familiar skill. =}
