It seems like packaged foods are going to be bad for you in one form or another. If it is low in fat or fat-free, it tends to be high in both salt and carbohydrates. Sugar free foods are a little better, but usually taste terrible from whatever alternative sweetener is used.
Still, it isn't as though any amount of fat or salt is going to be detrimental to your health. The best thing to do is to balance what you eat so that you have near one hundred percent of each item, not two hundred of one and fifty of the rest. Yadda yadda on exercise and raising metabolism to burn off what you eat, but who listens to that reasoning anymore? Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
