My advice: give up. Especially in my area, there's not going about without getting a bite within 10 minutes outside. I always carry around Tiger Balm to immediately apply on my fresh bite. Doing so will not only prevent itching but also reduce swelling and eventually, within the next day, the bite is gone. Tiger Balm is my savior!
