Sucks that you have a point and shoot, but if that's all you've got then you just gotta work with what you have. Some of the images are well done, the composition and meaning is reflected well. I say if you have a regular ol' digital camera take advantage of Photoshop to do things you could've done on SLRs, like blur the background or lighten/darken the image. Overall good luck and have fun with photography!
