I mean, Enix got their shit down tight, with Radiata Stories, Star Ocean 3, and DQVIII all having widescreen, but Kingdom Hearts 2 lacks it. WTF kind of "cutting edge-graphics" can Square advertise without widescreen support? Don't even get me started on progressive scan, which should be standard in every game release... I swear to god, if Sony doesn't require 720p and widescreen with all PS3 games, I'll never fucking buy one just to spite them. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hell, have you even played the game yet? How ya doing, buddy? |
I've played for about an hour and the only real problem that I've noticed is: Those goddamn jaggies make my eyes hurt. Some aliasing would be nice.
The widescreen support they added for the US version is hot as hell though. I was afraid it would be Vert-, but it's actually Hor+. Not during cutscenes, as those are in a small window at the top of the screen, so it's not fully anamorphic, but the rest of the game is pretty amazing like this. This opening city is pretty amazing too. I can't believe this is running on the PS2! I can't wait to see what Square can pump out of the PS3 (Or, more of FFXIII in action, I suppose.) Anyway, back to playing for now! How ya doing, buddy? |
That control issue is bugging the hell out of me, too. Would it have killed them to put the option to invert that from what they are using? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
And honestly, you need spell check to spell "upon"? I was speaking idiomatically. |
