I personally think it might be the router. My experience with routers is they might 'crash' if too many connections are being made. Torrents are particularly taxing. Connections are continously made with alot of peers, and if you're downloading multiple torrents at a time, it gets even worse.
A router has a specific limit for the amount of connections it can handle. You could check the options in Azureus to see if limiting the amount of connections per torrent will solve your problems. Alternatively, you could consider downloading not as many torrents at the same time. 10-30 does seem like alot. Try using 3-5 at a time. If either of these help, it is likely the connections limit that is the bottleneck.
