I started torrenting this last week, and I'm caught up at ep. 18 now. The best thing about it is how ridiculous the titans look. It makes them so hard to take seriously, and then BAM an aberrant shows up and wrecks everything. There's one later on who charges forward while skittering like a bug on all fours who's insanely creepy.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm just happy when a new show comes along that isn't the same old harem/moe crap or drawn out Bleach-style fights where it takes 20 episodes for anything to happen.

Also, your Sasha sig is the best.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I read a bit of the manga a few weeks ago just to get up to where ep. 20 left off, but otherwise I'm trying to wait until this season finishes before getting into it. I like being surprised by the show, but no chance I'm going to wait several seasons for them to get back to it.

So ep. 21 is out now.

Ep. 21:
I figured Levi's squad wasn't going to survive, but I was still really hoping. The Survey Corps people have all been pretty awesome, so it sucks seeing them get taken out because they don't understand how ineffective the usual tactics are against a smart titan.

After this episode I went back on what I said in my previous post and read 2-3 chapters ahead in the manga. I really wanted to see if my guess about the female titan was correct.

Manga Stuff:
I'm glad to see that I was right about Annie being the titan. I suspected it back when she let Armin live, but the real giveaway was the OP and ED themes. She left almost right after the switch to new themes, yet was still prominent in both of them. It's a shame, because otherwise I probably would've just assumed she wouldn't be important again for a while.

I stopped at the end of chapter 33 when the titan inside the wall was revealed. It's honestly kind of bizarre how much people have forgotten about the outside world and their own city in only 100 years, but then again most people have been dying off too quickly to maintain long generations.

So this week's episode.

Spoiler:
Interesting way to finish off the scouting mission arc. In the manga they just jumped straight to arriving back in town, and I really liked the extra attention they gave to Levi. Dumping all of the bodies to gain speed after how upset it made everyone to leave without 5 of the them was so grisly to watch.

Also:
Major Manga Spoilers:
Even before reading ahead I thought Annie's frequent presence in the OP and ED was telling, but I only noticed with this episode that they continually group all of the titan people together. It's most obvious in the ED when it shows the huge mural depicting two nations at war. The trainees are split evenly, but everyone with titan powers (except Eren) is standing in front of the nation shown attacking the city.

I was speaking idiomatically.
