This sounds like a pretty nifty idea, so count me in.
I think Skills is right and it should be left more general rather than by specific system for the first go around. As for organization, a subforum like Shin's advent calendar seems like it would work best. How ya doing, buddy? |
I forgot to specify, but put me down for the latter part of May. I think my last final exam is on the 15th, so at least a few days after that.

As for carryovers, there might have been something with levels like Miles said. You don't keep any of your Mantra skills since the grid is set up very differently in DDS2, as a group of connecting hexagons. The major thing people worry about is being able to use a certain character in the final dungeon. If you answer several dialogue choices in both DDS1 and DDS2 correctly then he replaces Roland, the new guy who joins you in DDS2. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Huh, you're right. NA Amazon has DDS1 in stock for $35 new, which is pretty great. Maybe Atlus did a reprint at some point like with Nocturne, because I couldn't find it anywhere when I went looking for a friend two years ago. They have DDS2 new sold through "Hitgaming Video Games", but it costs a whopping $131. For once, EB may be the best answer there.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I've been meaning to look up a way to play the Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, and Sam & Max for years. Now here comes Deni providing all of them in one convenient torrent file. <3
I was speaking idiomatically. |
While Sacred Stones is a good game with likable characters, I think it's probably my least favorite of the Fire Emblems that have been localized. The branching promotion paths were nifty, but it's just so easy compared to the others. By the end most of my party were unstoppable gods, especially Tana the pegasus knight, and I didn't do any of that world map grinding. Of course, that also makes it a good game to start with for people new to the series.
Is it just me, or are all the music links broken? I can't get any of them to play. ![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Marcia was decent, but who needs her once you've got Jill flying around, slaughtering everything that moves? Wyvern riders are where it's at when it comes to flying units.

Screw you Skills, I loved Golden Sun. Sure it was a fairly basic RPG combat-wise, but it was still a lot of fun finding and combining the djinn. I remember playing GS to death back when I was in middle school, and I still regret not finishing Lost Age while I still remembered what was going on. One of these days I'll skim an FAQ to catch up and complete it.
Also, why is Hawkeye the one being mocked when Pang managed to ruin the perfect run of everyone posting on time? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
As for Skills, he's just an easy target. Shooting the messenger and such. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
