No, they'd probably tell you to go right ahead and write to corporate followed by escorting you out of the store if you keep it up. "The customer is a lazy moron" is typically far more accurate and I'm sure people unlucky enough to work the Wal-Mart customer service desk are more than experienced in dealing with them. That said, no, you wouldn't have any trouble returning the other console since it's highly unlikely you'd get the same clerk.

I agree with your last point, though. I really hate the idea of getting a refurbished console. So much that depending on the price when mine inevitably breaks I might consider just buying a new one if it weren't for the few people I've heard from who got new ones back from Microsoft.

I'm not really impressed with the customization at all, especially the glasses selection. Unlike with the Miis I wasn't really able to make it look much like myself, so I'll probably delete this guy and make a funky and possibly female avatar after I get back from class this afternoon.

Avatars aside, I'm still on the fence about the update. It's nice to have everything faster with no lag when using the keyboard and achievements for games much easier to flip through, but the green blades are pretty ugly. I'd much rather see my MM9 theme that's semi-hidden behind them.

Same here. The Friends channel froze for 20-30 seconds both times I backed out of viewing details.

It's just random movements. The only things you can set are face, hair, and clothes.

No, DLC is linked to both your gamertag and the console you first downloaded it on. For instance, Nutty bought Penny Arcade Episode 2 on my 360 and can download it and play it on any 360 he's signed into. I can also play it on my console without needing him signed in. However, if anyone but Nutty tries to play it on a console other than mine without him signed in it shows up as a Trial.

That's not entirely true. If Lukage signs in on the second (or third/fourth) controller, another person could play any content that he's downloaded with no problem. The controller wouldn't need to stay on; Lukage would just have to be signed in.

It's possible with some games, but I've been playing Penny Arcade Episode 2 like that for the past two days, and Nutty did it with The Maw earlier today. The system didn't pop up any alerts or anything.

Oh, that's what an E74 error is? I guess this warranty extension is a good thing, because I've been having small graphical glitches for a few months now. Every now and then a purple line will flash across the screen for a second in a random spot. It kind of worries me, but it hasn't gotten worse.

It's pretty annoying now that they've designed it to be as irritating as possible to check friends' achievements and such. I used the site mainly for comparing achievements and checking who was online. Now the friend list is a separate page and I've yet to find an easy way to compare achievements unless the friend happens to be one of the three whose avatar pops up on the main page. No idea why they removed that handy box for comparing.

Of course, that wouldn't be so bad if the whole site didn't take forever to load anything.

Ah, so the feature is there and just very well hidden. Still, I've pretty much stopped bothering with the site now that the bookmark only works maybe 10% of the time. Usually it tells me the page is broken until I go through a roundabout method of logging in, rendering the bookmark pointless.
