Question about the culture festival:
Spoiler:
Is there a way to reschedule the Culture Festival after the typhoon? Everyone made such a big deal out of it and there's a screenshot on RPGamer of Yukari in the maid outfit (standing in her room though, so it could be part of something different). Maybe by having a higher social link with the student council? It just seems odd how it faded away like that after everyone talking about it for over a week.

Damn, Metal Sphere. You weren't kidding about that boss on floor #135.

Spoiler:
No matter what tactic you use, it seems to rely mostly on hoping he won't hammer you with Megidola. That's the first boss where I've had to go back and grind for a bit so that my party could survive the hits; particularly Yukari handling the Maragidynes.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

This game's fusing combinations feel a lot simpler than SMT: Nocturne's fusions, so I haven't really found it complicated at all. Now that game required a fusion chart near the end if you wanted some of the specific powerful demons. It seems like Persona tends to give a lot of the same results for each level range, so it hasn't been hard to figure out possibilities.

As for fusion recipes:
Once you can do Cross and Star fusions it gives you an ingredient list for each one, but won't tell you what they form until you have all of them. It does tell you their arcana though, so you could guess.

...That being said, does anyone know a fusion combination or the correct floor range to find Nigi Mitamas and Mithras?

Is that the giant green penis in a chariot with a dozen tentacles sprouting from the scrotum? A friend of mine got that as the secret character in one of those One Coin SMT figurine series recently, and damn that was freakish. I think it was called Mara.

As for Fes, I'd buy it if they brought it over. Normally I wouldn't be willing to do a second run-through on an RPG this long, but it sounds like there's more than enough new content to warrant it.

Fuuka's voice is irritating, but how can you not like Pharos? His voice hits the perfect spot between creepy and happy.

About full moon boss difficulty:
I thought the last two had a good difficulty level. Strength/Fortune I almost beat on the first try, but then Fortune whipped out Magarudyne which my persona happened to be weak to. Then for some reason Strength decided to go crazy with Sexy Dance the next 2 attempts I made.

It's the Freeze Cap, actually. I've only gotten items from Jack Frost and a Titan so far, but I forget what the Titan gave me.

Since it's somewhat on topic, where did you get that sig, Metal Sphere?

I dunno, those stupid sword guys on floor 180 gave me some trouble. I had to fuse a Chernobog with healing spells and just let my party members slowly drain the enemies' health. It's irritating how difficult it is to get around bosses who spam powerful physical or Megido spells.

What was the boss on floor 36? I can't remember that far back.

As for persona items, they come out when it learns its final skill. So basically it's a reward for maxing out the persona.

That's depressing news. As limited as Atlus releases tend to be, the new Persona game will likely be impossible to find by the time I get around to buying a PS3. I was hoping they would put the next SMT game out for 360 instead, since I intend to buy one of those in the near future. I haven't kept track of which system is selling better in Japan though, so this is probably a good move over there.

Could someone give the month that Chaotic's spoiler refers to, at least? I'm really curious as to what he said, but I don't want to spoil anything for myself if it's beyond the beginning of December.

Again, a date or at least month for the spoiler would be nice. From October to the end of the game is a pretty wide range for it to refer to.

They also numbered .Hack//GU 1, 2, and 4. Still, I'll take any shred of hope available when it comes to getting a translated version of Fes.

I need November to hurry up and end so that I can finally have time to finish P3. I'm still at the beginning of December, and it taunts me.

Welcome to Shin Megami games. Nocturne was even worse with the Hama/Mudo/Eternal Sleep instant death spells, and it was game over if the main character died there too. You just have to prepare for them and fuse a persona strong or null to the instant death types in that area.

It can be a huge pain sometimes, but at least Persona doesn't have a boss like Beelzebub (that I know of). He was a boss in Nocturne who used an attack constantly that hit everyone with instant death, no missing unless they were Null Death.

It seems to vary by offense. I reversed Chariot once by cancelling on Kaz for Yuko, and it took him several days of talking to him (didn't use up any time though) for him to forgive me. On the other hand, when Yukari's social rank got high enough for her to care about Justice Girl she confronted me about it the first time I talked to her.

I've got several social links reversed now due to not talking to them in ages, haha. I'm hoping to max out a couple more with the little time I've got left. Off the top of my head, I've already maxed Tower, Heirophant, Strength, Hanged Man, and Chariot. Maybe one other. I'm pretty close on Lovers, Sun, and Hermit. There's really no excuse to not have Tower maxed out since there isn't anything else to do at night once your attributes are at full.

I'm still stuck at the same point I was during Thanksgiving. Beginning of January, three bosses beaten, two left to go.

And a monotonous twenty-eight days left!
Haha, I'm right behind you with four bosses left to go at the beginning of January. It's too bad that I'll likely only be able to finish up Sun and Lovers arcanas with the time remaining since most of the others left are reversed.

Damn you Justice Girl!

I'm still wondering though, could we still import our saved data in the us version eventually? Will they release an independent starting version and not just an append disk? And with the news of Fes will be released, wouldn't it potentially hurt persona 3 sales? If I were someone who hasn't bought the original Persona 3, I would prefer to wait for Fes to be released.
I don't think there's much of a reason to worry about Persona 3 sales anymore. P3 has become pretty difficult to find these days, and that's impressive considering I saw a lot more of it than other SMT games and in more stores than I expected.

As for save data transfers, isn't it possible to use clear data on the normal version to start a new game+ in FES? I haven't looked into it, but I'd assume so since it's being brought over as the normal game with an append disc. I'll be a little annoyed if I can't cart over the stuff I've gotten in my first run-through, but not too upset.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Geez, Best Buy isn't selling it until the 29th. Why do they always seem to lag a week or two behind on all release dates these days?

That's alright, I have a ton of schoolwork to finish between now and May 8th anyway, so maybe I'll just wait and pick it up when I go out to get GTA IV.

Normally I'd say Skills was a bit harsh there, but nothing's more irritating than people going on about preordering at Gamestop if there's no special swag involved. If I wanted to hear that I'd go buy one of the two copies they'll get in, and listen to the clerk's high and mighty lecture about why I'm an idiot.
