Do you love your job? Yes.
Do you hate your job? Yes. Are you ambivalent about your job? Never. What is your ideal job? What I hope to be doing in two years: leading a computational linguistics research team. Is there one task (or more) that makes you really love/hate your job? I love programming and statistics. Then again, I also hate them and wake up in the middle of the night horrified when I realize that I've fundamentally misunderstood something. Are you doing what you dreamed of (you lucky bastard)? Almost. Grad school is over in five more months, and then I'll either be living the dream or homeless. Either way: at least I'll never have to TA a class again. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
