I get a lot of critisism for almost everything I listen to. From my friends that think metal is the best music ever, think listening to HIM, Radiohead, Rasmus, Dream Theater is ridiculous among many other bands.

My female friends hate Dream Theater, Symphony X, and..well any metal really because they just hear noise and 'gay' guys singing.

Sadly, it's always bad to tell me which music you dislike when people hang out with me. If someone hates a band that I like, that is mostly all I will listen to when they're around.
