1) Go to http://www.doom9.org
2) Download "Gspot" 3) Use gspot, to find out what codec/filter/splitter you need. 3.5) Ask here for futher help if needed. 4) Install whatever you need. If those steps don't work, then the video file is b0rked. You could always skip to the end and just install CCCP, of course. That includes all the most common codecs. If it's something weird, though, that might not do it for you. Jam it back in, in the dark.
