English dubs versus Original Japanese or Fanboys Need to Grow up and Gtfo

I'll admit, it's irritating when a company like 4kids releases DVDs with just a dub track and no Japanese audio, because that means I don't get a choice. I usually watch the subbed version of most anime that I buy, but it's stupid to deny that dubs are pretty good now. Most of them get the point across just as well as the Japanese/Eng Sub version. That's something that's really changed since I got into anime. The first generation of dubs were pretty clunky.

You should be aware that even the Japanese voices aren't lip synched. The "lip flaps" last the same lenght of time as the line does, but they don't make any effort to match the movements to the sound the way that American animators do.

This thread is getting old. People who like English dubs should watch dubs. People who like the Japanese audio with subs should watch that. People who think that it's anyone's business but your own what you watch should GTFO. Everybody wins.
