I recall there was this girl in school when I was about 8 that I kissed. I really liked her, in a kind of innocent way... but obviously I was way too young to understand or do anything about that feeling. The next one would have been when I was about 12, and there was a girl in my class I had a serious crush on. She was already dating older guys though, so while she thought I was OK, I was never in the running. She did kiss me a couple of times though. Then there was another girl when I was 14, exact same story. Dating older guys, not interested in anyone her own age. She kissed me a few times, it still wasn't anything romantic.
It took me until college before I even had a romantic kiss, or any reason to have one. Mind you, until then I would have had no clue how to behave in a romantic way. It still took me a good few years even after that to get any good at it.
