The first trick is to split it manually using a program like Audacity. It's pretty easy, you just have to point-and-click at the right times in the file to break it up into tracks. Then you can either keep it as WAV, or you can convert it to a fully lossless audio codec like FLAC. There are other lossless codecs, but FLAC is free software, meaning that it is supported by applications you can get for free.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
