There's two coins on the desk in front of me right now. One is a 10p from 2001 which is entirely average in every way. The other is a 20p that is a bit more shiny than average, and it's from 2003.
I like small change. I regularly have as much as £10.00 or more in small change just laying around. You never know when it might come in useful for vending machines, or public transportation. Both of which are extremely fussy about taking paper money for small amounts in this country. Jam it back in, in the dark.

If I was at my girlfriend's house right now. I'd be able to tell you about her change pile. It's seriously the biggest pile of change you ever saw in your life. I never counted it, because it's her money, but I'm certain there must be about forty pounds there at any given time. All coins. Mostly 1 pound or 2 pound coins, but a substantial amount of smaller coins too.
I have no idea why. She just says it's handy to keek change around for the bus, but surely that's ridiculous. I completely forgot about that when I made my last post, but surely it's worthy of comment. One time when I was visting I managed to upset the stacks, and that was chaos. Coins went literally everywhere. It took a while to pick all that up. The more I think about it, the more I realise I could be underestimating this pile. It's huge. There's nowhere I can't reach.
