I don't know what I would have done. I need to be as mad as hell just to want to hit someone at all, so it's hard for me to consider in cold blood what I might do. I definitely wouldn't just let it go, though.
I doubt I'd have been able to make myself hit a woman with a closed fist under any circumstances. I just would prefer to think of myself as a guy who doesn't do that. I think I'd always want to find some other way to handle the situation, but that's me speaking with a cool head. Certainly, I repeat that I wouldn't just let it go. There would be some kind of repercussions. Jam it back in, in the dark.
