Depends on the drug. There's a huge difference between marijuana and crack. There would equally be a huge difference in their reaction. They wouldn't aprove even of marijuana, though.

I guess they will have to deal with that one, if things continue as they are. They seem fine with it. What choice do they really have?
Then again, I'm honestly not sure my dad has really taken in that particular fact. It seems to kind of elude his notice. He's not actually met her yet, although my mom has. Marriage is a long way off, but dating someone of another race is basically the same as far as your folks are concerned, right?

I'm not sure they'd be all that accepting. They are Christians, after all. It's the sort of thing they'd take with a kind of forced politeness, if it were the case.

They would have been frankly dissapointed. College decisions are a long way behind me, though. For better or for worse.

I went through this one a long time ago... if you'll stretch a point to cover 'atheism' as a religion they don't follow. If I'd actually gone over to another religion, it might have been awkward. As it is, they respect my decision with all due grace.

I don't think they'd give me the time of day. They might, if I was lucky, give me an hour to get away from their house before calling the police. I'd do the same in their position, too. Murder is something that none of us would want to a party to, even in so limited a manner as hiding the criminal.
